Power Loss on Boost - Stock SR20DET

Hi all,

I've recently got an S14, pretty much all stock. The engine has been running great and pulls well.

But today it started feeling sluggish when in boost and would experience random cuts when accelerating. This has happened from one day to the other and nothing was changed.

The boost gauge is still reporting full boost (8 psi) but it feels rough and lacks power.

Any indications on what it could be?

Im thinking air leak in intake somewhere but the random cuts make me doubt it..

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

plugs/ coil packs? my rb did similar things before i changed half my ingition components

I drove it again today and the random cuts are persisting. It cuts for an instance fairly regularly. Maybe fuel?

I probably need to change plugs anyway, but wouldnt have thought it would change from one day to the other?

Anyone have experience with this sort of issue?

plugs, coilpacks, maf, fuel pump, fuel filter....
remove plugs and see how they looks like, you can see a lot whats going on with your engine watching plugs

i had this on my rb , are the cuts voilent? i changed every thing you could think of (all of the above ) ignition amp ,turbo , ecu , loom absolutely every thing you can think of .................. still done it

So you've never managed to fix it?

The cuts arent violent, its just a short blip of no power.

I'm gonna do plugs and see if the fuel pump is still working correctly. Its got a Walbro 255.

mine where more voilent cuts < hit about 3.5 4 k and bang like hitting a wall for 1 sec then its back again :/ deffo an electirical problem but lost intrest after changeing everything , soo completley started again everything out top to bottom rebuild so im hopeing its gone when fire up ( fingers crossed)
