Don't get put off going to Lydden, the beginner group there really is for absolute beginners so you won't get shown up by anyone, and there's tons of runoff / space to make mistakes.
Failing that I think Essex Arena do drift practice days, though being a banger track it's pretty unforgiving.
Think I may have to give that a go then as I do want to practice, yeah I know arena is unforgiving with its concrete walls. would it be worth going to a dwyb at Santa pod first to get used to doing 8's as I've not done anything in my car yet only other people's
I don't know about santa pod, I'll be going for my first time next Wednesday all going to plan so I can report back then. Lydden is great fun though, definitely go if you can.
its my first time up lydden tomorrow. Going in the begginer group as never done lydden and new car. No ones gunna laugh at you or get anoyed if you spin out as long as you go in the correct group. everyones got to start somewere including me
Back corner, fourth pinned, doiiiitttt! Just remember it's still a race track, you're allowed to overtake people! SO many times people end up queuing up in first taking turns at corners, wastes a session.
did you head down? Was a great day. Yeah you have to book in advance. Its on again sat 17th October. Book it up soon.
I went in the beginer group as it was my first time up there. No one cares if you spin out or go slow whilst you get to grips with it. Thats the whole reason of a practice day. I learnt more yesterday in the first 10 min session than I have in 6 months of skidding round *cough Cough* closed private roads. Do it!!
