Project S14

After owning a few S13's, my last one (see sig) is halfway through being broken, I have decided to move onto something newer but keep in the SX flock.

A little while ago there was a S14 on eBay with a few things wrong, but nothing major. I purchased it for the tidy sum of £ :D and is my new project. The things wrong with it are: drivers tyre fcuked, running rich/dodgy idle, scrape down the passenger side and problems with electric windows and locking.

Here are the eBay pics of the car:

I will update this post as the project progresses, first jobs on the list are sort the rich running which I suspect to be a dodgy manifold gasket (it has a tubular mani fitted! ), full exhaust system, wheels and suspension, security and ICE.

Nah I preferred my bargain £1k S14 purchased May '04 with Eibach Springs and Full Mongoose Decat.

Oh and a swimming pool dur to the windows being left open in all weathers for 5 or 6 months!

Why do you think it's been clocked? I've got full service history/MOT's which back it up.

I'm not talking about big ICE, just head unit and some nice speakers. Will try to attend some drift events in the new year.

Since it was the festive period I've been a bit slack and not done much (read 'any') work on the car, so yesterday I thought I'd just stick on my new alloys to see how they look.
Personally I think the car looks pretty phat, just need to sort out some suspension. Hopefully this week I'll get the blowing gasket/rich running problem sorted out.

After looking at the manifold gasket I decided to get a second opinion from a proper mechanic. He confirmed what I thought, that there was a new gasket on the manifold. After taking it for a spin round the block we now think the timing chain tensioner is foobared so will now be replacing that and go from there.

If you also take the rear passenger trim off you should be able to push most of that dent out  maybe pour a few buckets of warm water over the dent first though so the paint and laquer aint ice cold
