Question about making rear Overfenders look clean

Hey guys,
so im doing my S14a build right now and i was asking myself how to make
rear overfenders look clean without these rivets and bolts all over the corners.
I´ve seen some cars that have rear overfenders on but i cant see any edges or bolts or anything else.
So my question is: How do they make this?
Do they glue their Fenders to the body and afterwards fill in they edges so you cant see them anymore?

Thanks already!

PS: This is the way im looking for

I have seen a lexus with a riveted rocket bunny then filled and smoothed out. Glued, filled and smoothed would work too. It would be really inconvenient if someone hit you to that part of the car later. Instead of just fixing(or buying new) panel and painting it you have to strip a whole quarter of the car down.
