Hey guys, new member here. This crazy intermittent problem is kicking my ass. I could really use some help.
problem: After 20-30 mins of driving, the car will cut power, sometimes it’ll come right back, other times it’ll stall out like at a stop light and I cant get the car started right away unless I wait a little bit. Strangely enough, this problem happened a month ago, and while checking things, it went away on its own, but has now come back.
background: Stock RB20, aside from wiring specialties engine harness, Apexi air filter and turbo back exhaust.
so far: So far I’ve replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the AFM, IACV, and inspected the fuel pump and tank for rust/debris etc. The spark plugs looked good and didnt show signs of a lean or rich condition. No codes stored in the ECU. The car has new coil packs, new timing belt and water pump. The pump looks to have been replaced/upgraded by previous owner as well. I purchased a Z32 maf with adapter harness but have not installed it since it requires a tune.
Any help is greatly appreciated, I love this machine to death but this is painful
