Cant get the wheels in the sizes I originally wanted so would 17x9 et30 or et35 cause any issues as thats my only option atm as I need wheels soon. Would want to run 245/45/17 front and 255/48/17 tyres on the rear.

Hi all,

New to the forum and owning an R33, i'm in the process of sourcing new wheels cause the ones it came on are stance wheels and I want a more performance orientated setup. I know theres tonnes of threads online regarding R33 fitment and ive looked through a vast majority of them with no clear answer found.

So does anyone have a good idea if this set up would work without touching the arches?

17x8.5 et 35 front and rear with 235/40 front and 245/40 rear (maybe 245/40 front and 255/40 rear tho)

I think they'll fit based on what ive read but the 35 offset along with the tyre choice i want is where I'm thinking I could run into some rubbing issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated, dont know the sizing of the wheels that are currently on it but their running 225/40 tyres stretched. Car has adjustable coilovers as well.

Easy, I have 18x9F 225/40 and 10.5R 245/40 ET20 all round. I was running 265/35 west lakes on the back but had to run -3.5camber to not scrub, now I reckon I could go down to -1.5/2. I’m also pretty low but only really scrub on bumpy surfaces at full lock on the lead wheel

Turns out everywhere is sold out of the wheels I wanted and any others in the same size and offset.

So would 17x9 et30 or et35 be okay with no rubbing issues based on anyones experience? They look great in the pic above but want to make sure they fit with no issues before I buy any as i'd have to pay restocking fees to return them.
