Rebuilt shocks ?

Hey,

my first post on this forum. First i have to say you are doing a great job here, keep the good work guys.

And now my question. I have an s13 with standard shocks and 35mm lowering springs. Curently my car is under heavy construction (paint job, interior styling...) so im a bit short on cache. My shocks are becoming weeker, so i decidet to get them rebuilt. The guy who does this can make my shocks stiffer and shorter.

Can anyone tell me how much should i stiffen them and if i need to shorten them (35mm springs) to get a nice driftish setup. Does anyone got data for teins or kyb shocks.

Tnx, iKst

I dont have the stock shock rates to hand but I would get them uprated by 50%. Stock shocks are too soft for standard springs so presuming your springs are uprated by 30%, like most seem to be, a 50 % increase would in theory make a good match.

I guess getting the shocks shortened by 35mm or so would be worthwhile so they dont bottom out.
