Redline Article On D1 Round 2 At Silverstone

Why does Redline have the scores broken down to the corners but not the UKD1 site?! As a sure loads of people requested this??

EDIT: Also why does it have the Castle Combe web address?? lol

Cheers Barky not a bad read I thought

"Phil Morrison scored an amazing 100 out of 100 with a flawless display of car control"

Would that have something to do with it? lol :D

nice cheesey grin in the picture of yeager :)

Hmm yes, I really do look a bit of a fool in those photos... hehe, still it's great to see some more coverage in the mags. Is Redline as bad as Max Power? I've not bought a copy before...

Glad you liked the feature guys.

Yeager> We like to believe our readership is a little older (and wiser in the ways of modifying/tuning) than certain other 'rivals'. For example, our staff cars include an R33 GTR, 600bhp 3-door Cossie, my 180SX (actually, probably not a good example!) and our AE86 drift car.

We haven't got a 'Max Live', but we held Redline Rumble at Santa Pod (where CRD Supra beat Norris in the final), and we're media partners for Redline Ten of the Best.

We cover roughly the same market as the competitor you mentioned, but our features tend to involve more 'go' than 'show'.

BTW - I'm just finishing the write-up to Round 3. It won't be as big as round 2 (mainly 'cos the camera I was using had the world's smallest lens, so there aren't that many action pics).

If people are interested, I may be able to organise a copy of other drift features that have gone in the mag, so that Phil and Co. can host them on the 'site? :)

That'd be great, then i wouldn't have to buy the mag:D

No offence, but I'm a bit old to be buying it.

What an excellent response! I have sent my girlfriend an email to get a copy of the magazine.
[edited to say: because i'm not in the UK at the moment]

What is the chance of having a drifting section in the magazine monthly? There is plenty happening on the scene to create interesting and worthwhile articles. If you need copy, I would be willing to write something for you to edit.

I'm getting as much drifting in the mag as I can.

We've had about four or five articles in the mag on drifting (first one was in May 2003, a practice day at Turweston) - when Brett, Kiki and Non all had S13's. (I think Non's still got his, but uses the S15 now)

I can't say too much other than drifting will definitely be getting plenty of coverage in the near future. Especially when I enter in our Hachi at Round 4 and beat everyone! Muhahahahaa.... ahem.  :D

As for the mag - I'm glad you're gonna check it out, but be warned: this product may contain the odd Saxo. :p

Maybe Redline could get more active in the drift scene and help organise some events/get venues?

I trust you'll be editting out the pic of me you took? You dont want to scare your readers away:D
