Repaired my intercooler last night

well I say repaired, but it was kind off bodged :wack:

basically it goes:

stick a rubber washing up glove on one end, wet hand under tap, blow down other end, find where air is escaping with wet hand, then clean around the area where the hole is, remove fins if necessary, then put a blob of chemical metal on or around the hole, then use a vacuum cleaner and your hand as a seal to gently pull the chemical metal into the hole, add another blob on top, then leave to dry for ten minutes and repeat process... I did this 9 times yesterday, and that's not counting the glove having a hole in it, which confused me for a while :wack:.. I also straightened the IC as it was warped by about 30 degree's end to end.. And the method I used? I jumped up and down on it .. I'll see if I can get a picture of it before it goes back on, as it's driftmungus baby :D

Sounds like you could do with something a bit more heavy duty to take the knocks.

What about one of these?

Kenny I've pressure tested it, but not tested it on the car yet, I get the impression my car is going to be silly fast once it's back on

Steve, is that HKS or APexi? :wack:
