I'm having a little issue with tyres at the moment.
I've picked up 2 punctures in 3 days this week and it's left me with a dodgy tyre choice.
Basically due to suspension I can only run a maxium size of 205/45 16s on the front, and up to 205/55 16s on the rear. And I have the following tyres....
2x 205/45 16s (Road Legal tyres) currently on front
2x 205/50 16s (Road Legal tyres) currently on rear
2x 225/50 16s on S14 drifting rims
some other rubber and a load of 14's.
The problem is that the 205/45 16s don't offer any grip (Wanlis) where as all the other 16"s I have offer loads more grip. This means that if it is wet at D1 Round, I have a big understeer problem, and no tyres that will fit on the front.
Does anyone have any 205/40 16s on S14 rims that they would swap should it rain at D1 Round 4 this Sunday??
Normally I would go to one of my local tyre people and do a swap, but I'm helping my sister to move tomorrow and I've got to swap over some brake pads. So I don't have the time (or the moneny) at the moment.
I'm worried that if it rains at Round 4, I don't have a setup choice with the tyres I have to eliminate understeer.
If anyone is prepared to swap some for the day I'd be very grateful.
