Returning a Painted Polished item back to Polished?!?

Hello everybody!

Forgive me if this is in the wrong section or if nobody gives a flying kebab.

But...

The previous owner of my R33 decided to paint everything that was Polished on the car either grey or black. Jebus knows why?!?

Basically the dish on my wheels (grey)
The fmic and piping (black). I want to return these to a polished finish if possible?
I've read that nitromors or aircraft paint remover can work but I'm not sure if it would mess with the Polished finish under the paint.

Anyone ever done anything like this and can help me out at all?

If it's polished and painted, chances are, you'll need to polish it again.

If it the nitromors doesn't affect it, they probably used etch primer or a key on the surface to make the paint stick so you're probably going to have to do it again :/

Okay so you'd say give the nitromors a go and see what happens really?
Im fairly confident to say that the intercooler and piping is just rattle can jobby so that will hopefully come of quite easy. The wheel lips may be a different story but time will tell.

If anybody has any other advice, all is welcome

Just say you're trade as technically, thanks to the EU, you're not allowed to buy it if you're not trade.

I done some stuff not to long ago and i used Nitromors and it worked fine to strip lacquer and paint. Then i used a 3 stage polishing kit from from the polishing shop on my drill to cut it right back and bring the surface back to a nice polished look.

We have a eco friendly paint stripping tank if your nearby shouldn’t cost much.
Doesn’t affect the metal underneath just removes the paint quickly and easily and then just need polishing again.
