hi, im looking for a new set of wheels for my e30, but i need to make sure they will clear my new brakes. so i was wondering if you could give me a measurement from the mounting face of the wheel to the inside of the spokes on a 17x8 et20 and et35 rota torque,

In the meantime its probable easier if you tell me what brakes you're fitting?
 
there calipers off an e38 7 series with 312mm disks.

iv just made a few measurements and i need 55mm clearence form the mounting face of the wheel to the inside of the spokes.

Ah ok, take it you mean depth?
Massive variable, how far out the calipers sit etc...

Do you have any wheels that do fit?
 
no i just know that from the face of the brake disk that the wheel sits agains, the caliper sticks out 50mm so i need 55mm of depth. im pretty open for what wheels to put on the car. so the main thing is that theyt will clear the calipers and then how good they will look.

i read that someone got a set of rota slipstream 16x8 et 25 on the car with the same brakes. but i cant gte in touch with him to ask for a pic.
 
Yo, need a few things first...

What bolt pattern wheels do you want exactly?

We need to know...

1) how far the caliper sits out from the centre of the hub, so if it's a 312mm disc diameter, how far out does the caliper sit on that diameter... just measure with a tape measure from the centre of the hub to the inside edge of the caliper.

2) hub face to caliper outwards, think that's the 55mm measurement?

17x8 torques have loaaaads of brake clearance anyway so I wouldn't worry, it's the concave spoked 9js and above that you need to worry about...
 
hello mate

bolt pattern 4x100

from the centre of the hub to the furthest point out on the calipers is 190mm

from the hub face outwards it is 55mm to the edge of the caliper

Sorry I completely missed this somehow last week, yeah the only 4x100s are 17x7.5, sorry! We don't really offer any wide 4x100 17s, 16s we can do but then brakes....
 
no bother i like the rota grids in 16x8 et 10, but as you say brakes, do you have them in stock, thanks

i could make a template of the brakes and fax it to you so you can try it against a few wheels if you dont mind, ind ill see if i like any of the ones that will fit, thanks
