S12 Silvia 200+BHP £650 MUST GO NO OFFERS.

Hello.

My dad has his nissan silvia s12 for sale due to not needing it anymore as he has a more practical car and his bike for fun.

SilviaFrontDriver.jpg

Basic spec untill i can find anything more concrete.

Mot on the car is for a few months
Tax is untill well into 2006

-Nissan Silvia s12
-F Reg
-1.8 8v Turbocharged engine
-16" Allesio Alloys (could do with refurbing, two newish rear tyres fronts good)
-Lowered
-Grooved Discs
-Uprated engine specification, these cars are 135bhp standard this has over 200bhp. (printout for as mentioned 270bhp)

Basically, he bought this back in 2003 and has had no problems with it apart from a split boost hose that was on the way back from buying it typically enough!
The car itself is tatty, paint would require attention to take it upto looking its best again, but its really performance where this car excels.

When purchased it came with a RR'd print out for 270bhp. The tuning was done by essex turbos as far as i remember, the car has also been lowered and handles very very soundly.

Now the problem is that i cant remember the exact specification of the car, to memory it is using a cosworth turbo, uprated internals custom exhaust system etc.
The car doesnt smoke etc, has always been warmed up before being used on turbo, and cooled down after each run also has been run on high ron petrol.

PICTURES TO COME YET.

RWD, 200+BHP and cheap relatively cheap insurance for under a grand!

The car is in basingstoke hampshire.

PLEASE EMAIL ONLY, NO PM'S OR REPLYS TO THIS POST. MANY THANKS

r_a_perrin@hotmail.com for any specific questions etc or if theres anything youd like to see pictures of.

Yeah for that i do appologise, if the admin wish to delete my account when the car is sold that is understandable.

I only got tipped off about this forum else id not have known about it, sadly i couldnt insure a car that is rear wheel drive otherwise id of been interested in hanging around.

the whole registering to sell stuff thing is old hat on the interweb, but having the cheek to actually register as s12forsale is quite impressive.

Looks like an evolution of the Silvia Revs used in one of their buy and mod a car fro 1000quid features years ago...

Cold start valve off a (something, escort RS turbo maybe) used as an extra injector and probably activated by something equally DIY. But it works!

Standard 2wd Cossie intercooler mounted low and at an angle.

And some rusty ass boost pipes and air filter :wack: :wack:

And lots of front positive camber too

Yeah the front camber is shite. That was the main reason for me fitting coilovers was for the use of the camber tops

This is my effort:

Was that around 1999?

If it was i can remember that feature.

Was i White Sierra and a Granada as well.

Mr Doricar...

Yeah thats a DET plenum. It doesn't go straight on. About 1.5" of the manifold was cut off and welded in its place was the std fitting runners with the correct flange.

That doesnt look like a 270hp CA18ET to me
Na, if it was on aftermarket management then maybe it could be if it was running uber boost, but seeing as its on std mgt still its very unlikely to have much past 200.

I'm pretty lucky to get the power I have out of mine with the ECU being such a bag of old shite
