S13 180sx Build

For about 4 years now I’ve always wanted a 180sx but due to being a student and not in full time employment the funding towards one to a while.

Around the start of June this year (2019) i finally pulled the plug and decided to start looking at importing one through a company Import Wizards local to me in Northern Ireland.

After 6 weeks of searching and bidding on 5/6 cars on the 19th of July i finally won my 1997 180sx in Midnight Purple!!!

After a long wait of wait of over 3 months due to sailing times from Japan and all the various stops and the time it spent in customs in Dublin. I finally took delivery of the 180 on the 23rd of October. Here is some detail pictures of her sitting in Import Wizards yard before it got delivered to my house.

It has a full origin style body kit with 50mm+ wider front wings (which im not a fan of)

Love the midnight purple, its different and very JDM

Unfortunately no Kouki Tails but that’s definitely a must down the line.

Interior is in mint condition with a crackless dash aswell which is rare and the elusive massive purple gear stick

As you can see the drivers seat has taken some abuse back in Japan haha
 
Just before the 180 arrived i sourced a set of the standard Type X seats, it is a type x from factory but the seats where obviously changed somewhere down the line. For being around 25 years old the seats where in immaculate condition.

So the 23rd of October came and she arrived she looked so better in person with the purple and the bodykit and she sounded unbelievable. Of course had to get a few pictures on her first day home.

First thing i got set on doing was getting the standard type x seats in which completely transformed the interior of the car along with slotting in the central air vent which i sourced from japwestmods.

Spec wise its very close to stock

- Type X
- HKS Intake
- Tein Coilovers
- Some Japanese brand backbox
- Front Mount
- Double Din Radio
- Blitz boost Gauge
- Cusco rear and front strut bars
- HKS BOV
- Turbo Timer

So overall nice basic car with good starter mods with no messing about with the SR done which is always a good starting platform
