S13+S15=S28?
Selling my old S13.

  • Has a servere bottom end knock, not a rattle at all, its properly banging. So would definately need a whole new bottom end or at least a crank regrind.
  • Brakes are binding on a bit, but this could be due to it been sitting for probably the last year and a half.
  • It has no documents, no tax, no MOT. If it were to be used as a full car then it would either have to be towed to events or new documents applied for.
  • Due to the condition of the bottom end, it doesn't really drive. It is manouverable, but I wouldn't want to move it more than a few metres in one go due to the engine.
  • Not excessive body rust, bootlid not excessive, arches not too bad, but the chassis could do with some welding.
  • Bit of rust on the top of the turrets, rusty chassis brace that runs under the radiator.
  • As far as I can see, mods it has are some form of lowering springs (although they don't lower it much :wack:), induction kit, dump valve, big gay spoiler. I've robbed the exhaust off it (will be replaced with a stocku one) and the boost gauge, although I might put it back in.
  • 100k miles.

Due to its condition, it would need to be towed or trailered away.

I recon theres a few hundreds worth of decent bits on there, or you could just buy it as a road/track car for cheap with restoration work needed.

hi mate, I'm interested. Looks like with a rebuild it may run to its full potential. I could come down and get it next weekend or the weekend after. once I've a trailer sorted out. is there anything else you can tell me, body work. chassis condition? rusty chassis legs. how about suspension? leaking shockies? or leaking diff? if not dont let it go I'll have it!!!
 
The chassis legs could do with some welding i'm afraid, I think just at the back though. Next chance I get i'll go take a few pictures under it for you. I don't think there is anything else wrong with it. I think the shocks are ok, none of the bushes appear to be leaking, the diff seems good. I don't know in detail though because I haven't spent much time fiddling with it. Anyway, pics to come. Where abouts are you, would it be better for you to come and have a look?

Edit: Ah, one more thing, there is a fuse missing from the fusebox for the headlight pop up, which I robbed for my good car.

Edit 2: oh, and two of the tyres have a slow puncture. :rolleyes:

Price is negotiable anyway if those things bother you, I just want the space back really, and looking for a bit of return back on something that cost me a hell of a lot more in the first place. :(

Sorry mate, don't have a clue. The engine was burning so much oil as it is that I don't know if there was any smoke from the turbo too. The guy that sold it to me said the turbo was ok but I wouldn't trust that. Again, when I have chance i'll get the pipe off and have a look.
 
ok cheers, me and a mate are pretty interested was hoping teh turbo was ok though to be honest, might still take it regardless though
 
dont wana sound cheeky but would you be willing to let it go for £100 please?

only reason i ask is there will be a fair bit spent on diesel getting to pick it up and trailer hire etc?

I'll let Raymond_s13 post his reply first since he asked before you did. Let me get some pics up and i'll try and get a quick assessment of the turbo.
 
ah ok sorry i only skimmed through it to see the condition of the turbo intitially lol, my fault yeah if he has first dibs then thats cool, if it falls through though let me know and ill most likely take it.

Spoiler is still on it mate. It's only missing in the last pics because I took it off to sand the bootlid down. Back on the car now though.

It would be harsh of me to sell it straight off when there's others interested at the moment, give it a few days and see how it goes. :) It will probably end up going to the person that can pick it up soonest, Friday or Saturday coming.

hold on chief thought I had asked for the car first!! I'm quite happy to send down a deposit or somethin. I could came a got it at the weekend. I only posted last nite!!
 
well a was plannin on it chief. but a couldnt a got it till the weekend coz I'm up north. but I did have the money ready. but wat can u do.:(
