ringer
HOOooo!
S13 for the summer season? Running well, MOT till July!
Hi Guys,
Im selling up one of my project cars as I am about to move house, so here she is! Due to the silly number of PM's from various places, I have decided to eBay her as I cant keep track of the dozen or so people enquiring about it so far!

I have been restoring her over the winter to keep myself occupied until the Nurburgring opens again, and now I am moving house it is time for someone else to look after her and enjoy her. She's an 1800 Turbo, completely stripped out, adjustable rear suspension and bloody fast. Her magnetic switch on the starter motor fails now, so she needs to be bump started. Good security feature?
As you can see, I have more than enough to be getting on with...!
I've included a breif run-down of its re-build.
When I purchased her:
Dont see many S13's with sills strong enough to do that... The sills will want some work at the rear, but are fine.
The ECU. Looking good as new. A spare will be included. Both are already socketed for Stage 1 ECU's.
The intercooler. This is currently fitted, but leaks boost, so a £30 Volvo FMIC will do the trick.
T25 was removed and inspected. Spins freely, no whistle, no boost loss.
When I purchased the car, then engine mount was split, but the previous owner had quite rightly lost patience with it...
The circle represents the single least accessible bolt in the world. The CA18DET offside engine mount is apparently, an utter bastard to remove, this one took 7 hours.
The offending part removed!!
Put the new engine mount in, lowered the engine down, and copper greased and bolted her up. I also changed the bolts on the nearside for long-term sanity.
Corrected a few electronics gremlins, namely an arcing coil, re-wired the ECU back in correctly, sourced and removed any leaking voltages and re-grounded about half a dozen grounding wires.
Me hooking up some of the very fiddly breather hoses...
Here we see our glamourous model holding the utterly bollocks charcoal filter. I left it off. Stupid emmision crap.
She started at this point, but had a very poor idle due a simple breather hose, although getting this particular hose was a bit of a mission. Off to Picup Spares!
As ever, lots of interesting machinery there including a 300ZX burnt out, but rolling on 3 very expensive split rim alloys, and this poor GTI...
After a scavenge, we also found a Celica GT4, and Supra 3.0 Turbo, with lots of breather hoses and CT26 turbos still attached.
Managed to find a couple of near-fit pressured/boostable hoses, so we tore them out, paid over (£5.43), and went home.
Yes, there we go!
The car has had its interior almost completely removed at this point, as it was all a bit skanky and 'orrid anyway, and I was pleasantly suprised to see no rust on the floor either. I refitted the gear stem, fixed the ABS system wiring, and pulled all the rear seatbelts out.
I am looking for the price I paid for the car, plus just shy to the cost of the new parts. Come and see her, I will take you out for a test run. She has an MOT (untill July), but no tax. If your thinking this is a concours car, forget it, its not for you. If your looking for monster fun, let me know. The car is located in Swansea.
