S13/S14 front lower suspension arms

Can anyone tell me if the lower front suspension arms are the same on the S13 and S14/A? I know the ball joints are different but are the arms the same, cause on the bench besides each other they look the same.I am doing the five stud conversion and was wondering if you could swap the complete arm over. Thanks

S14 are 10mm longer, if you have adjustable top mounts to keep the camber semi sensible then go ahead and fit them:) you may also have to mess about with the tension rods but I'm not sure on that

If thats the case, would I be right in thinking that because I have wider front wings when it comes to getting wheels I can just use a smaller offset?

if by smaller you mean higher, then NO! because high offsets are :dermal: haha you'll just have to have stretched tyres for clearance:)

Oh ok then,Has anybody else done it this way when converting to 5 stud?In effect this will gice me a wider track, but will it look gay? Also with widwer fenders?

Not sure. I knocked the balljoints out and used the S13 arms, just to be on the safe side, but if the S14 thing doesn't work, there is always the option of going the S13 route. Also, we'll all know for sure how it looks.

did this to my mates car and as matt says it's got mental camber :wack:

everything bolts up fine including the tension rods

Nice one. Not too much camber then?

What are you going to do about the bolts on the front shocks? I didn't really want to drill my shiny new coilovers, so made up some metal sleeves. 14mm steel tubing from Homebase, dressed down to about 13.8mm and cut into 4 30mm lengths. Hammer them into the hub carrier malarky and the S13 bolts fit nicely.

I went over to my father in laws in Launton place got a 14mm drill and drilled out the coilovers,I am not going to need them on any other car so I thought what the hell and got drilling.

Launton? That's about 5 minutes from here. I kept mine intact because I'm terrible for not holding on to stuff, and wanted to keep it original in case I sold it on.

I don't care about selling it on cause I will sell the car complete as I finish it,I have big plans for my next project just need to finish this one first,Are you in Bure park?
