S14 cable handbrake - any use?

The handbrake in my S14 stinks. I know the S13 drumbrakes can work real good with decent cables/shoes, but what about the S14 set up? I could either get some new cables and make it work properly, or install the hydro I have - but I'd rather not if I can avoid it.

I have rebuilt my rear calipers, new discs, yellow stuff brake pads and hand brake works like never before

Ducky, just pull it up till you punch the head lining, it'll work. Just. Which makes it ideal.
