S14 HSD coilovers, brake line question.

Hi guys, I brought a set of HSD HR coilovers for my s14.
Everything is good except for the brake line bracket.

It just won't fit right to get the locking clip in place.
There also seams to be no mounting point for the ABS line.

I thought, maybe I have an s13 version?

Hi there, the clip can be quite awkward but you do definately have an S14 version, and it definately is possible to make the clip work.

If you're really struggling then you could secure it to the bracket with a small cable tie, as long as it is securely held.

I'm afraid the HSDs don't have an ABS cable bracket, but as the ABS cable just needs to be held out of the way there is no issue with using a cable tie to hold it to the brake line bracket.

Ok, I see. Will have to mod it a bit then. Didn't want to hack it up before confirming with you..haha. Cable ties won't be good enought for MOT here I'm afraid.

If the clip really won't work at all and you have to modify the bracket to make it work, that's fine with us, no affect on warranty at all.

Also, I'm surprised the ABS 'cable' being secured with a cable tie isn't good enough, I recently worked on a car where the abs line was secured with a cable tie clipped to the strut as standard, a vauxhall I think but I don't actually remember which one it was.
