Okay so im new to forums and this is my first post
Little about myself
I am 29, college student, truck driver and ex army
Ive owned 5 cars
Ford ka
1994 Ford ranger xlt (american import rwd and still own)
2004 mitsubishi evo 8 (hated this car never buy one )
1990 mazda mx5 mk1 (still miss this car)
And the one am making this post about
1995 nissan 200sx s14

I bought this car off my mate ( hamis-509) back in 2014 after selling my evo 8
Wanted it for months and as soon as i had the cash in hand phoned him and told him to bring my motor round

I wanted to make it my own but still keep the original look
so to start i got the black half cage out and got it painted red as whilst me and hamboy both like yellow i wasnt into the yellow purple theme and prefered yellow and red
Whilst the cage was out i also got the interior painted to match colour on outside and found a set of genuine fake bride seats on ebay

drove it around for about a year, did a couple of drift days at crail which helped teach me alot and got me used to the car having never had a rwd car with more than 100bhp before ...lost a skideskirt to a delam on my 2nd drift day ...and before i could recover it the other car on track ran over it on purpose (bmw drivers )

After about a year i had a slight bump....got excited and put it into the back of my mates r32 skyline

He got away with a crack fiberglass bumper
I smashed both lights crack my bumper almost in two and bent bonnet
Bought new skirts and found a white bonnet off a silvia down in cambridge which i collected with a mate when he went down to buy a beetle
Also managed to repair bumper myself which i was quite proud of having never worked with fiberglass before
Ran about for months like this until i could afford to get it painted here it is with my truck

Eventually got it painted

Front looked fresh and even found a silvia grill on ebay for mega cheapness
And that just finished the front off

Now during this time mechanically i had no issues i was serviceing it every 3k
Engine ran mint
Clutch had started to slip so replaced it with a xtd clutch and lightweight flywheel from the states
Developed a leak from gasket between manifold and turbo and whilst taken stuff off to do that found out that my turbo had massive play and needed replaced ......not wanting to take the chance of a 2nd hand one being in same state i sent mine away and had it rebuilt

got myself a stage 1a chip from horsham developments too so had that fitted

Unfortunatly i had to have it welded for the first time round the boomerang brackets at back of sills which was gutting but entirely my own fault for running it through winter

I also painted my steering wheel myself to match colours i was going for

Now everything was mint mechanically and front end looked great ....but the back end was tired looking ...having taken out back quarters to paint interior it had paint chips and missing paint round windows and had various marks from drift days and general wear and tear to fiberglass......
So after saving some coin i started to get the stuff together to paint it ..started repairing various fiberglass damage myself ..... until my compressor broke leaving me up shits creek .....
Thankfully a friend offered to help and we got it into his paintshop and got it painted had the idea to do this for a couple years after seeing a picture of cs garage's s14 and wanted something similar

And thats pretty much where i am up to atm ...its away for winter just now and next year i plan on getting graphics of some sort made up
Also managed to damage the bumper again so need to fix the paint on that and i would really like to get rocket bunny front wings as never really like the dmax ones

Just before i put it away however i won my first yahoo auction and got something else that i had wanted for ages
A hks gauge holder ...alone with a old boost controller oil temp and boost gauges and sensors ...couldnt believe it when i found it during a random search

Thanks :) yeah id never seen one in person but seen a few random pictures of them couple in america etc ...then first random search of yahoo auctions boom found one and won it for £140 with all the gauges and senders included

Good job making it yours so far :) Glad it's still kicking about.

Good luck with the XTD Clutch though, heard nothing but bad things about them.

Thanks and yeah i heard bad things about them AFTER i had it fitted ...been in it well over a year now and no issues ....yet

So little update
over winter i bought myself a cheap mx5 after a friend got one and i missed my old one
20190309_165953.jpg
2003 mk2.5 mx5 svt previous owner had plans to take all running gear out and put in a mk1 but never got round to it and left it sitting for 18 months
Got it recovered, running (it had lay that long immobiliser/ecu was damp) and MOTd
Ran about with it for a month before selling it to buy a set of work rezax wheels for the silvia
FB_IMG_1554226754998.jpg

Currently planning to do a drift day at crail this month see how that goes and if i will be having another fiberglass party as last time

That looks great. I'm not usually a fan of the s14 front end but that's perfect.

Also, I'm not one for graphics but I can't help but think that would really suit some livery.

Other than that, looks cracking, preferred it on the smaller wheels though it still looks good on the Works.

Slanting the red forward rather than backward over the yellow makes it flow weird to me though! Slanted back would make the car look sleeker/faster ;)

Reason it works on the C's Garage cars is because the rest of the graphics slant the other way.
