So looking at buying a s14 zenki ex drift car and looking for more information of what yo expect for driving it as a daily and what would be recommended to do apart from the obvious services and maintaining anything to expect as An ex drift car

As in ex competition car?

so it's some guys old project with a welded diff? I'd personally get rid of the welded diff. After a long day at work I don't want to worry about the back end getting loose every chance it gets. Plus it'll be a lot harder on your rear tires.

Not sure if youve ever daily driven with a welder or not, but theres no real discernible difference to tyre wear. And for me it didnt feel like the back end wanted to do that at all. If anything (and why alot of people like welders) it becomes very predictable so can be easier to drive than an LSD. You just have to be aware of what it is. Im sure theres plenty who have done more but i had an S14 with v8 and welded diff that i daily drove about 15k miles over about 1.5 years with no issues.
