S14a suspension setup

i have the following bits on my car, just need to know the best setup for them so that they work together- help muchly appreciated :)

Tein superstreets (-65mm) with damper adjustment at 16points
Tein top mounts for camber correction on front
Camber arms on rear
Whiteline ARB's (uprated at front with 3 setting and Extra heavy duty rear with 2 settings)
front strut brace

oh, that's it
it's setup for grip and handles brilliantly, just need it to drift brill too

Youve got the damping set at full front and rear?

What camber/toe/castor settings have you got?

no, it has 16 stiffness :dermal: points

i think it's set at 12 front and rear

have got the camber and castor at standard nissan settings for the road

i need some ideas about which settings for ARB's front and rear, camber front and rear, castor, stiffness front and rear so that it's not trying to grip too hard and is easier to drift

What were you saying about suspension settings si?? :D :D

Just wack it on mega hard at rear, few clicks softer at front, loads of negative camber you big girl!!!lolol :D

Put the rear ARB on the stiffest setting and the front with it being non heavy duty I would try that on stiff or mid setting.
Set both front and rear damping settings the same on softest then go for a drive and adjust them(the same) until you remove the boncing feeling. Then if you want to have it more rear end out. Increase the damping 2 click on the back for every one 1 at the front.
That what I would do anyway

kewl
already have the front on the mid setting
tried the rear on stiffest, but the back was trying to step out on the road too easily, so put it back to softest, but this can go back hard again for the track

bit anoying that i need some camber/castor/toe settings that will work on the road and drift mode

too many comprimises at the mo

Standard castor, 2 degs front, 1.5 rear, 0 toe all round should be a half decent compromise for road and drift. Best to try try different stuff yourself and see what suits you.

well, I don't think my car even knows what an alignment machine looks like, and it works just fine for drift and road:) wouldn't put too much thought into it if I was you

Alex, could you find out how much Largus roll bars are? Everyone seems to rave about them even though they're procier than most:)

Ok Matt will have a look out for them. I think the Orange car might have had them, huge hollow ARBs
Any good suspension manufactures spring to mind apart from Kei, Tein, Apexi?

Section make good arms and links, very competitively priced too! Uras do a good selection of arms and engine/trans mounts. I'll try to think of any others:)

might be sending you a big list of things to find prices on

oh yeah, i've got pineapple rings too, so will change them from the 'all round performance' setting to 'drifty' setting

all i need now is to have some skills at driving

can i buy that? don't think so

practice time then
