Sandwich plate problem

I have bought a sandwith plate here on driftworks with 2 gauge take off's. But the problem is that there is 1/8pt bsp on the plate, and my gauges is 1/8 NPT?? What do i do?:confused:

Hi Jesper,

Unfortunately you'll need to either get the sandwich plate tapped to 1/8NPT, not the end of the world as the two threads aren't far off anyway, or get the correct sensors to fit.

Otherwise if you need to return it drop me an e-mail and we'll sort it out. :thumbs:

i've got the same problem- i cant find any gauges that fit the 1/8th BSP thread that i like so i am kind of limited to the 1/8th NPT threads.

As far as re-tapping goes - can i get the bits from my local halfords or b&q to do this ? are there any tips or tricks on re-tapping for a novice so i dont lunch the whole plate ? :)

1/8BSP is 1/8PT, the thread that Defi and most Japanese gauges use. :)

To retap just find a suitable tap, and run it down the threads. Can't mess it up really.
