I have been thinking about starting another project (this would be my first with regards to drifting) and I have a few ideas but im worried that if I go for something with a small wheelbase will it be more difficult to drift. I currently have a 36 touring which is not short at all, I was thinking of converting something front wheel drive to rear. Maybe a bit oldskool.

So whats the shortest car people have seen drift successfully? Fiesta, 106, Saxo?

Short is fine. Short plus wide plus loads of grip & power is 'difficult'

People skid kp61 starlets just fine, and they're similar dimensions to some of the cars you've named.

why do you want to do a really short wheelbase? e36 tourings drift fine, ive got one and have been drifting it for like 3 years now.

A friend of mine had a red top rwd corsa b he drifted but it just looked like hard work! I'd put my time and effort into something that's actually going to work with you...

Inherently a longer wheelbase will ultimately be a more stable drifter...
