PLANS

sell 5 spoke alloys,

refurb 4 spoke revolutions,

strip out interior and put in bucket seats and get harnesses,

lower it (not sure how much tho, still under discussion)

my plans change alot so watch this space

Cheers Gaz

That's fucking sweet man - there seems to be more and more unusual drifters appearing, wish I'd thought of it :D

changed from what to what???

all i see are rims and front chrome bumper removed.

I prefer it with the bumper tbh..........but hell yeah it is clean and tidy and quite cool. would look even better with black revolutions on

cheers folks, thought I'd start early and what better to get than a RWD car :D

I really wanted a mk1 or mk2 Escort but this was a cheaper and sort or rarer option, my brother has recently got himself a mk2 Escort so one Escort in the family is enough :)

just showing from how I bought it to how I changed it, I got it when I was 15 and being unemployed and at high school I felt quite proud of what I did to it :smash: but now I hate the fox alloys and going to put the Revolutions after I refurbish them, I was thinkin black spokes with the polished rim, but I'm no sure if the white would look good?

oh the bumper is bent because of a small crash from previous owner, the wing is damaged aswell but isn't that bad to be honest, I have new bumpers but they are in need of getting re-chromed

the revolutions would look kick ass with the black spokes polished edges

nice choice of car as opposed to the ff hatches youngsters go for

chevettes are cool, defo loving the revolutions over the fox alloys.

Just one thing tho....... slam the fecker! :D

Wicked car, but too nice to gut.

Recon the revs, get one period bucket in red, tune it sympathetically, and leave.

Just need some HSR bits now, my friend had one as a first car, was quite good in gravel car parks and very wet roundabouts, seemed to have a huge amount of steering lock you could never spin it.
Get the Revo's on and chop a coil off and it will look loads better

cheers for the comments folks, after the Rev's are on I will be looking into lowering it, you can lower it upto +50mm :D I'm think 70mm or something, but with shortend dampers etc so its all good, then get some polybushes etc

funny you should say that T.K. I had a look on autotrader and one completely standard car with HS alloys is £1500 and a 2 door saloon for £1000 :worthy: I got mine for under £500

it makes you think about what to do with it

CorollaRWD : I was going to go for a full on HSR kit 'Andrews heat for hire' replica but I don't have enough cash or a job to carry out that kind of work yet, gona wait until I've past my test and had a bit of play with her to go full on bodykit etc

might get a HS front bumper just to cover up the small dent, or was thinking manta GTE front bumper cut down, seen it before and it looks nice and subtle mod

that would be the HSR kit mate, basically an x-pack kit, they came standard on Chevette HSR models, they are around £750 for the cheapest ones, aint got enough cash at the moment but I intend to do that in the end ;)

I want to get the technical side of it sorted first such as, suspension, rear axle and engine if I replace them, quickrack steering and quickshift gearlever and any other things I can do that will improve the ride and then start on the interior, rollcage, harnesses, bucket seats then get the exterior done, that way I will have had some experience driving and hopefully past my test by then

only 8 months and 3 weeks until my 17th :) plenty time to save up and do some mods

Wicked car mate! Looks a very tidy example!

I bet you cant wait to be old enough and get enough cash to slap in a 200bhp+ Vauxhall XE lump in it! :D

:D ayep, seen someone doing it on another site and it looks minted :D

either a 2.0 XE or a ford 2.0 pinto, both have been done before so it is possible :D

or the easiest swap is a 1.8 manta engine I think, but I wouldn eed to keep it a street sleeper with a XE in it
