hey guys,

long time reader but never actually registered.. finally got round to it :)

i own a 1995 180sx running an sr20det.
i bought the car pretty much bone stock. only had a t28 and z32 afm. barely ran because it still had the stock ecu..

since then ive added:
td05-18g turbo with external gate.
fmic
full turbo back exhaust
custom intake
z32
1000cc injectors
bosch 040
some drop in tomei poncams
a power fc
and a set of slideworx coilovers

it currently makes 250rwkw on e85.

my intention initially was to turn it into a drag/street car. i was never really into drifting, enjoyed watching it but thats about it..

i dont plan on being no daigo saito but i would like to get the hang of it a little better.

just wondering if you guys can give me some pointers..

i really struggle with the fact that my car is onthe laggier side of things.. i hit fullboost at roughly 4000rpm. so to be able to initiate or continue a drift, i have to enter at a alot higher speed than what im comfortable with as a beginner.. is there really any way around this?

even in the wet, i try to take it slower so im alot more comfortable and can focus on my technique, but as soon as i drop off boost i start bogging down.. do i just need togrow some balls?? haha

cheers guys

4k spool is pretty good tbh. You do need to man up a bit here. Get yourself down to a learner track like santa pod and have a play.
You could always up the tyre pressures to help you out to begin with.

And 1000cc injectors sound a bit overkill for your setup?

1000cc and E85 sounds right Mark :)

You mention power in kW, I'm guessing New Zealand/Australia way?

haha sorry guys forgot to mention im from australia.. and yeap power is in kw or roughly just under 340hp..

have never really had the time or money to actually enter a track day as it does get abit expensive here. but i guess thats really the only place to test your limits.. will have to get on it! haha

My old greedy td05 18g used to do 1.5 bar by around 3600rpm if I remember correctly. It ripped! Was one of my favourite setups on my s14 when I had it
