Skyline R32 VG30DET

Hi Guys!
I want to introduce my build. It's FR32 skyline body with BN sports body kit. I started to build this project about 1.5 years ago & I haven't finished it yet, because it turned not so easy as it seemed in the beginning. Recently I've swapped VG30DET engine and hence, now I'm hooking up VG30 to FR32 wiring. Besides, there were lots and lots of problems appeared beginning with mounting gearbox and ending with steering rack. All what's left to do with body is dyeing in white.
The main problem that slows down its building - now I'm studying in Finland, but my car is in Russia :cry:

I hope that this summer I'll have enough time to complete this complicated project :smash:

It's a miracle of russian car industry called LADA :) The car itself is cheap and unreliable but affordable for plenty russian citizens. Honestly LADA is not really a car, that's bucket of nuts :)
 
I like the VG30 engine idea! Badass engine with an undeserved bad rep. Even over 20 years ago VG30s were doing power and speed levels people only dream of achieving even today.

nope, we took engine from Nissan Cedric Y32, it's VG30 with single turbo. Now engine bay isn't looking very appealing, but anyway I'll take a photo in 2 days :)

Stavros, I think the same way :) I also hope that VG30 would growl, for achieving this I've bought Fujitsubo Super Ti exhaust FUJITSUBO Official site which has 80 mm diameter.

fitzer, thnx, I'm trying 2 do my best, but I have a lack of time to finish building at an early date :P
 
want to see how it fares :) I know VG30ET from Z31 is good engine, not sure about the newer generation ;)

Zell, initially I thought about RB25 engine, moreover I even purchased it, but u know how it works in russia, u transfer the money for your expected engine, then u spend couple of month waiting and only then turns out that vendor is swindler and u go to russian police that doesn't really work. Upshot is so dem predictable - u receive respond from police that they didn't get enough evidence to open a case :(

fortunately I have a friend in moscow who sent me his engine VG30 from crashed car :)

...and fortunately that Nissan Cedric that was crashed had been riding through the streets of moscow not so long. Total mileadge of this VG30 is less then 60 000 km. :)

I think, though less obvious to use, a well done vg30det is going to be better in every way to a rb25
 
Прикольно:) А у меня 300zx z32 и я тоже VG30DET свапнул! Тоже гемора негорюй! Но я только в ноябре начал и у меня тоже учеба щас, времени нет нихера((( Все каникулы ебашил мануал, разбирался с распиновкой мозгов! Короче задача была - завести к концу каникул. В итоге завел, буквально 2 недели назад, но скотина гудит только 15 секунд и глохнет! Как будто давления топлива нет... и сука опять учеба, в гараж всё никак не могу попасть, а уже скоро снег растает! Слушай, можешь рассказать, какую ты коробку поставил????? И какие там приколюхи были с маховиком, стартером???? У меня еще проблема есть - труба выпускного коллектора, которая идет от правой бошки к левой - короче она не влазит( ДУмаю щит порезать из салона чуток. И еще у меня нету двух труб - одна которая идет от турбины на дроссельные заслонки, вторая - которая идет от турбины на выхлоп, в которую еще лямбда вкручивается! У тебя эти части были в наличиии??? Или ты делал ченибудь вручную???

I even heard that VG30 less heavy then RB25, cause it has aluminum engine block, in its turn RB25 casts from cast-iron. I saw a couple of disputes where people were arguing bout both of these engines.

I doubt, cause RB25 is much easy to swap unlike VG, that's really pain in the ass...in my ass :(
