Slight HSD Issue,can someone contact me asap for the weekend?

Hey,

got my HSD's today as you know,however there's a slight issue with the ride height,i need them to be higher than the TEIN's,but at the highest setting,they're still lower than the TEIN's! Any way i can adjust this? I really wanted to fit them to my car tomorrow (saturday),but now will wait for you guys to contact me before i go ahead and do anything,

have you extended the length of the shock or just adjusted the height by winding the spring ???
 
a pic of the teins,yes the springs are broken hence the HSD's....

well the bit in red,on the HSD i've moved to the lowest amount,with 20mm of the shock left within it,if that clears that up?

yeah thats the bit i meant and was gonna say make it longer by adjusting that bit but if you've done it already then i dont know what else to suggest :confused: sorry.
 
I've just fitted HSD's to my s13, no problems at all. As Robbs said already, all I did to adjust the height was to unbolt either the top or bottom of the coilover then wind it in to lower or out to raise. Thats pretty much it.

I guess you've maxed out the height then, so the thread of the body of the coilover is almost out? Hm, odd. Funny enough mine are the oposite, and have maxed out (lowest) on the fronts.

Why can't you run a bit lower? :rolleyes:
 
because my car is this low, it takes literally 30minutes to get it on and off my driveway!

And yes i know how to use coilovers,i arranged a group buy and have owned a few sets already :P
I been in touch with Ben,all should be good hopefully by monday,driftworks service kicks ass yet again ! :D
 
fitted them and they're fine!! however i would like more ground clearance so i'll call you guys on monday to see what i can do,still can't get it up the driveway without using planks of wood
 
Doesn't look like your car is that low:confused: the bumper might be, but catching the bottom of one doesn't normally stop the car:wack:
 
I was thinking that, my s13 is lower than that on the front. Yeh it scrapes a bit, but not really any damage. It don't stop me from getting around :wack:
 
well like i said i've fitted them and the car is fine,
I got myself an R33 GTR,found out today it has some HKS turbo's,so in celebration after fitting the rear HSD's i took it for some "boost" in 4th :D

i've brought the car to drive,it isn't your average £2000 200SX that you can slam to the floor and not give a shit about

well here are some pics as it sits now,the HSD's are quality they're firm,but still able to take the bumps etc on the road while not shaking your teeth out,my 2nd set and defo won't be my last!!
