sloppy handbrake?

noticed a strange feature of my handbrake, when its on theres about 10-15deg of play on the wheels. only noticed it when I was doing up the wheelnuts with it jacked up. the wheel turns then clunks to a stop, where its solid again. any ideas whats loose?

Rear discs warped? Its possible that the pads aren't touching the discs as much in some places.

I'd have thought that would be more gradual, right now it makes a clunk and bounces back off whatever stops it? is it possible for the backplate with the mechanism on it to come loose?

Mines the same, its just a 'feature' of S13 handbrakes, think its the shoes moving about a bit.

you sure the handbrake works and its not the diff locking haha
