So here's one of these stupid questions

Could I Run 19s in the front with a lower profile and 18s in the back with a thicker profile to drift on? Currently running 245/40/19 on the front and 275/35/19 on the back, After consulting google I can just find people running bigger inch back alloys (18 front 19 rear).. but no one the other way, can someone give me just an idea without patronizing me haha much love

What the hell is it on that you're running 19's? lol

It's not uncommon to see guys running 18 fronts and 17 rears or 17/16.

Don't get hung up on it tbh, just be aware that a higher sidewall will tend to grip more, so if you're used to how much a 19 slides/grips then expect more grip on an 18 with higher sidewall

A 370z on the sport package alloys... but with bigger alloys comes bigger chachings so I was just wondering if it could be done

Ben you're a star... I was thinking like a 18 x 9 or 9.5 to run about a 255 tyre... the 275 I have on now drift nice with a lot of grip but I'm thinking money on tyres just to burn them away haha ... if I have 19/35 now what profile should I run on 18s ?

A 255 on a 9.5 will fit the bill nicely as the tyre won't be too stretched so it won't accentuate the smaller rear wheel

The comparison calculator tells you that a 275/35/19 would convert to be a touch larger than a 255/40/18. Considering that the VQ likes to rev the smaller size will help a little in keeping it in the power band, but probably not enough to notice. You wouldn't want to go the other way though

If you want to be exact on size then a 245/45/18 is almost bang on if you can get a hold of them, and might be a bit better to suited if 255's are too grippy for the setup
