Soarer boost controller

Hi Guys.

Do you have a boost controller that will work on a 2.5 twin turbo Soarer please?

Also need an induction kit

We have the manual boost control devices in stock. And out next batch of Apexi filters should be with us in 2 weeks.

Are you still on standard turbo's? They are supposed to be very fragile, I'll be fitting a front mount IC, and some exhaust breathing mods to my Soarer, and maybe a very mild tweek with a manual boost controller and that should be enough I reckon :)

Is the a common safe boost limit that you know of Mat? Obviously my boost will increase by fitting the FMIC and front pipe, I need to make sure that that alone isn't going to blow the crappy tub's apart.

Change the exhaust, for something that flows a bit better, Cutom seem the best route to go as the big name ones seem to become restrictive..... FMIC, the next step, and buy the biggest you can afford, 600x300x90 should about cover most of any future upgrades, you should also look at the hard pipe kit as well. regards the safe limit....14 psi, but no further, as this i beleive is the max safe limit for the ceramic turbos, and boost cut Regards a boost controller id always go for an electronic one go for about 1.2 bar, you will have to fit an FCD to stop fuel cut, this will give you about 330bhp at the flywheel. The standard turbos are not surposed to like anything over 1 bar of pressure, I know a few who run them at 1.2 for about 9months at this pressure and have had no problems. This included a few trips down the drag strip and a couple of track days

Yeah standard car. Just want to turn the boost up a bit. But the car is a weapon as it is and bullit proof, so am not wanting to effect the reliability I have taken for granted so far.

Should I just leave it alone, or put a manual controller on it and just turn it up a bit for use in anger?

It's twin turbo as well so how would that work?

Cheers Phil

Hi Mat, I just wanna turn the boost up a bit on the Soarer. No heavy modding. What do you suggest I use please. Manual boost controller?

My mate blew the turbos on his soarer from overboosting! It was on a upgraded downpipe and decats, standard mid-section, and 2.5" twin back section to 4" backboxes. Be VERY careful with the soarer turbos!! He didnt even have any sort of boost control - just standard actuator boost. It would hit fuel cut when driving hard! Awesome car though

Well I've got my Cartek speedo convertor and speed de limiter to fit, and CorollaRWD has very kindly lent me a downpipe/decat for a chaser that I hope will fit. I'm just waiting for a stupid customs form to come through so that I can register the car, then I'll see how cheap I can make a FMIC and it's fun time :D

CorollaRWD...told me he had lost that downpipe...tit

How do you know it's the same one Sammy? He works for Sumo now, and does a massive amount of buying/selling of random parts for them..

My advice would be to get some dump pipes from australia, get a decent downpipe, decat, cat back system, fuel cut defencer, and a decent induction kit.

This combo has made me a reliable 280rwhp with equal amounts of torque which has lasted all year no problems with some very harsh driving and drift days.

Next on my list is a FMIC.

But its the dump pipes that make the difference and keep your turbos alive as it takes alot of pressure off the exhaust blades, its a completely unstressed system but still makes 0.9BAR!
