Just like to say thanks for the online help and the superfast delivery of the carbon rear wing and HKS boss for my Soarer yesterday.
This is my first order and I can honestly say that it was about the bet service I have had.

I think I may have ordered the wrong boss , but thats me being a muppet , lol.

Hi Kam,
Thats what I thought. It has an airbag as well.
I am changing to a non air bag wheel, and I expected there to be something to connect the old airbag wires to. The OT 156 refers to it being for the soarer with cruise and airbag , but as the instructions are in Japanese I am a bit lost! The cruise bit is straightforward as there is a plug ! there is then a wire for the horn and two spares.
I can bodge it , but the whole point of the HKB boss is that it solves the conversion issues .

Not a problem and I am very happy , but be good to know if I have the right one or if there is another part I need to fool the airbag light.

Do HKB have an english website?

Good point....that would be my normal course of action, however this time I thought I would buy the right part.:).

That said, the Boss is a good piece of kit and solves the cruise thing, although I will never use the cruise control anyway:D:D.

Oh well, still be good to get some English Instructions.
 
They don't cancel the airbag on Soarers I'm afraid, I did mention it in the chat also "airbag W/O warning lamp" in the description, not very clear I'll give you that!

As above, just take the bulb out :)

Yep there are different versions of HKB...

For cars with passenger airbags/systems that require the airbag to stay in place they do a version that comes with bits to fool the system...

If you car JUST has an airbag and no other system relies on it, it's usually a boss that will fit your airbag equipped car (i.e. horn, indicators, etc) and all work, and you just take the bulb out.

The Soarer is an odd one, since the boss is still expensive due to it having the cruise control gubbins.

Incidentally, cruise control rocks, use it. haha

Thanks for clearing it up. No worries at all, the boss is a nice one for £60 quid and it won't be the first airbag light I've removed....( every e39 BM I've owned!!);)

Just wanted to make sure I had the right one as the HKB description can be looked at both ways.
Anyway , Its going on today with the Carbon Wheel I've had for years on all my play cars.
