Spin turn knob

Hi lads,

Just wondering, I need a spin turn knob for the handbrake on a JZX81. Will the Toyota AE86 version fit?? If not do you stock one that fits??

Many thanks in advance

gonan jump in with a hijack,

But obviously they sit on the threaded rod inside the hand brake. Any chance you know what thread each one is? i need a new button on one of me vehicles(renault and might be tempted for the volvo also) and well it might be cheaper to buy one of these than bodge the handbrake back together.

cheers :)

^^^^^^FAIL^^^^^

they slip over the currunt button on nissans but on toyota's and mazda's you unscrew the orginal button, remove the spring and screw the drift button in place.

nice try at trying to make me to stoopid and make it look like you know what you're on about, volvos have square buttons so none of the drift buttons will fit so you fail again :wack::p

not trying to make you look stupid at all dude, just defending myself against internet warriors,

you seem to be the one getting off on picking holes in peoples posts

i was just trying to advise the guy,not to become the spin turn knob hero of driftworks

no im just picking a hole in your post, fair doo's trying to help but unless you're certain you know what you're on about you shouldn't say anything, cos he could go buy one on your advice and it wouldn't fit and would be a waste of his money.

prehaps i should have explained it better lol :)

my van needs a new hand brake button , as well basicaly the button is no longer part of the handbrake. i have the threaded rod which sits inside the spring, that the button would screw on to but well it doesnt because it no longer exists.

obviouskly never having used a spin turn knob, and there not being much info on fitting it , i wasnt to know that it doesnt fit how i thought it fitted. hence why i asked about thread size, thinking it replaced the entire button. but it now blatently does not. so there ends the question ...

no there is 2 types of drift button slip over type and threaded type, you obviously need the threaded type, so the ae86/rx7 one would be your best bet, you just need some measurements and thread pitch to know if it'll fit (the dw one is fairly thin so i expect it would fit in the hole, it just depends on the thread and length of the button

but really its a van so i would just go down the scrappy and find another button that fits.

I finally got around to ordering this at the end of last week and it arrived today. But wont work. The threaded piece it screws onto is anti-clockwise and the spin turn knob is clockwise. Also its too wide to actually fit into the handbrake itself. What do I do now?

Order number 16885.

Thanks
