Hi people, my first post in god knows how long. Had a look but couldn't find a thread for last weekends Drift Matsuri / Drift Cup at Rockingham so here goes.
A very enjoyable day despite the crappy British weather trying its best to spoil the party. After not being to any drift events for a for years I was interested to see how the seen has changed and was impressed by what i seen.
The Drift Cup is a great way to get started and from a fairly modest outlay you can experience the drift completion world. For the Pro teams, the level of sum of the builds is just stunning and shows how much things have improved.
My only negative would be about the venue. From a spectators point of view the facilities are top notch but the viewing experience is a bit naff. For the Drift Cup it was great as that was in the outer paddock and you could stand close to the runs and get a great feel of the sounds, smells and feel of the drifts but for everything happening on the main circuit, you are so far away from the action it all gets a bit lost.
Any way here my pics n vid from Sundays action.
