Spring Rates

Looking at getting coilovers after my recent mot failure, looking at hsd monopro, seem like most like them, how how are they for street driving? Just unsure about spring rates, should i just get the standard 9k and 7k?

Also are their any other brands I should try? People keep saying meister but in the 3 months ive been saving up for coilovers they have never been in stock, seem like more of a bragging right that anything else. Teins on my dads evo are decent too, but I have no idea.

Thanks

What car do you have ? what do you want from it ? need to know these first before selecting spring rates

Ok well if where talking HSD coilovers i ran them in that spec on my MK1 mx5 and they where decent but quite stiff. I was really low and had very close fitted wheels so they where ideal for my needs but if your wanting a bit more comfort maybe drop down to something like a 7 / 5 kg set up wich should be a bit softer for the light MX5 meaning you get a bit more comfort. Having looked on DW though the lowest spring rates HSD offer for MX5 are 8 / 6 kg so a little limiting unless DW can supply others.

Depends on the person aswell as i quite like a stiff set up others don't
