SR20 Power Upgrades

Hi everyone i recently bought an ADM S14 200sx as my daily it is curently making 150kw and im looking to get around 200-220kw this seems like a reasonable figure by what i have seen. I have had a decent search of the net and the dw forum, but its hard to find a deffinate answer that relates to my set up and most being for non VCT sr20’s.
I was just wondering if my current and planed set up would be capaple of that sort of power if not what kind of power it would make.

Current mods being:
GT28bb jap spec turbo
Walbro 255l fuel pump
Front mount
Splitfires
Manuel boost controler
Turbo back 3” exhaust
High flow cat
Pod filter (not sure what to do with that haha)
Also has a 52mm dual core radiator for cooling

And i have some s15 jap spec injectors lined up to buy fo it (the dark reddish brown ones)

I was planing on doing this set up with a nistune

Also will the stock AFM be suitable up to that kind of power

What kind of power do you guy think this set up could make with a good tune and what would be need to get to around 200-220kw
Constructive critisizm welcome
Thanks Everyone!!

On the other side of the world, we don't tend to use kW much, but from my guess youre after <300bhp, which is at the top end of the T28R/GT2560r. The S15 480cc injectors is a good start, as the standard 370's are on the absolute maximum around that mark, so I guess you'll have a small bit of headroom for safety.

The stock SR20 AFM will/should be fine at that level, but as with everything, if you upgrade then you'll have some form of headroom should you need it.

But apart from that, it appears to me you have a solid setup to run 1.1/1.2bar and reach somewhere between your goals :)

220kw is just under 300BHP, you should be fine to do that with what you're planning on doing.

Obviously get the injectors cleaned and flow tested before fitting them.
(I always thought the S15 injectors were the same size as S14 though?)

For a relatively low cost (new or used) and nicely sized AFM for your setup, with some headroom you can use a z33 350z/R35 AFM assuming you go for a AFM based ECU setup like Nistune.
Turbo side is the same size as Z32 so generally easy to get intake pipes kits to fit it (or stretch on the stock hose) and if you open up the bolt holes on the AFM filter side, an Apexi filter will bolt straight on. Then your turbo is the limiting factor but you should be within your power goal.

JDM manual spec R are larger (480cc). Auto's and I think non JDM S15 turbo's are same as S14 (370cc)

Thanks for the feed back guys any of you ever personaly ran a set up similar to this or know anyone with a similar setup?

Yea alot of people run a chipped ECU over here and get in the 200-220kw range.

S14/S14a Stage 1a ECU upgrade chip (270-290bhp) - buy now!

Uses the stock AFM and stock injectors as well, so it's a pretty cheap option.

The S14/S14a Stage 1a ECU upgrade chip is designed to optimise the fuelling and ignition for an S14 with the following modifications:

Free flow air filter
Free flow exhaust
Uprated fuel pump
Boost controller to achieve 17psi peak boost pressure
Front mount intercooler
Super unleaded fuel (>97 RON)

As above really, that's the most common for us on stock turbo.
On my s14a I had the above '1a' but then went to Subaru 444cc injectors, Nismo FPR at 3.5 bar, Z33AFM, Nistune on stock journal t28 peaking at 18psi, but tails off to about 14psi by redline as will the t28bb due to being out of puff.
Seemed to go well, never dyno'd it though so don't know what power it made.
