Dudes and Dudesses once more... :)

I've decided to stick me car back up for sale here. I had it up for sale slightly half-heartedly before Xmas, but since then I've done the five stud thang and replaced all brake components on all four corners. More info below.

Car is located in Glasgow, but I can supply many pics and even vids for anyone who is far away.

Chassis has done approx 98,000 miles, engine & gearbox has done approx 110,000 miles. I simply don’t have the ability to do the things I want to do with it myself, and I don’t have the cash to pay for someone else to do it either. Also, I’m climbing onto the property ladder and I need all the cash I can get! I hardly ever use it now if the truth be told, it just gets used for popping to Tesco or the odd blast along the M8 to Edinburgh at weekends.

• Taxed until end of Jan 08
• MOT will be due early July

Always allowed to warm up fully, oil change regularly at 3k intervals.

Good points

-Very good solid shell with virtually no rust (sills might need redone as I’ve found a small bubble coming through again, but that should be done before the sale if I can get it organised)
-S14 SR20 (High mileage but very strong, turbo also looked pretty new when the engine swap was done approx 10,000 miles ago)
-Five stud conversion
-R33 GTSt callipers and braided lines up front (I kept the standard setup at the back to keep the better handbrake, except with new pads and new redrilled-to-5x114.3 discs)
-Walbro fuel pump
-Brand new pads and discs all round
-Big box of poly bushes included but not yet fitted (Covers every bush except rear subframe bushes)
-HKS Metal air filter
-Braided oil pipe for turbo
-Nismo urethane gear knob
-Brand new battery
-Nice Pioneer head unit which plays MP3s

Bad points

-Electrical problem somewhere along the line to the TPS means that it idles strangely and can be lumpy and juddery on occasion, especially if it’s not warmed up properly. Should be a simple fix for someone with a multimeter and a modicum of talent.
-Car has been parked in a residential area where parking is survival of the fittest. Some of the paint has been scraped off the corner of the front bumper by some prick in a Golf, and some unidentified gay has pushed the rear quarter panel in very on the driver’s side in front of the rear wheel and then buggered off. It’s only really noticeable when the light hits it a certain way or you’re actually looking for it. Otherwise the paint is in pretty good condition for a car of this age, and should be back to almost new when I give it a good T-Cutting.
-The rear subframe bushes are goosed, and poly ones aren’t included in the pack I’ve mentioned above (although the metal collars for the original bushes are), so they’ll need sorted one way or t’other.
-The left rear ABS sensor was killed by the garage during the five stud swap, so the ABS is out of action at the moment. Obviously not a big deal if it’s used for drift, but should be mentioned nonetheless.
-The PAS pump squeals annoyingly on full lock and plays up a little when it’s cold. A spare PAS pump should be pennies, or it could be replaced with an electric one for better response?
-It only has a crappy open diff, which means you’ll either have to weld it or replace it with an S14 diff or, ultimately, a good mech. diff. I have an S14 diff somewhere which could possibly be supplied if need be.
-As it’s the sunroof model, it can be a bit noisy at high speeds. I’ve just gotten used to it so I don’t notice any rattles or squeaks any more anyway :)

No doubt I’ve missed something important out, so if you have any other Q’s, please feel to fire away!

Here are some pics of the car before the five stud swap. I'll try and get some more recent ones when I get a chance to get the fucker washed properly!

And, freakily, here is a perfect example of exactly what I'd do if I had the cash and was keeping it:

In summation, it's not perfect, but could be an awesome car if someone put some cash and effort into it. I'm after £2.5k, but I'll consider all offers. However, the first person to offer me something really insulting gets a punch in the kidney :D

how about a half eaten packet of.......... :D

Good luck with the sale, seems a decent price for someone handy with the spanners to fix the few faults.

*Donkey punch* :D

Yeah, that's exactly it mate. Unfortunately I possess no such talent and no cash either :(

DriftDude: There are a few spots of very superficial surface rust on the front suspension towers that simply aren't worth dealing with unless you're a real perfectionist. I can get you pics if you'd like to supply me with an e-mail address? The sills look like they're beginning to go again, which is a real pain in the arse as I only had them done approx 3 years ago, but I'll see about getting them sorted this weekend. The underbody is very clean, and I've got some reasonably recent pics (Xmas time) to supply if need be. That's all I can think of just now? :)

Yes, I am gay indeed :euge: Grown up things have caught up with me, so I'll lie low for a while, save my pennies and cross over to the darkside: JZX100 Chaser :D

the rear abs sensor is in the diff.you can cure the sunroof by wedging a lighter under the handle.
sr20 and 5 stud!!!! kewl its ready to do battle.

I don't even notice the sunroof noise any more, but I'm sure someone who didn't know the car soon would. I'm sure the boys at The Garage said the sensor is on the hub and they broke it changing the hub over?

S13 abs sensor is defo on the rear diff i know this because I removed my abs :) Ill hold my tongue about the place you just mentioned though! LOL

Lovely looking car though m8, hope you get it sold :)

Hmm interesting, I'll check that out... I don't suppose you know of anyone up here looking for one, do you? :D

Okay, needs to go as I'm moving in under 6 weeks, so price drop to £2k, which is surely a bargain for what is a perfect basic setup for an excellent drift car?

Solid shell? Check. SR20? Check. 5 stud conv.? Check. What else is needed? :D

I'll even go and get some more up to date pics right now even though it's raining
