Steering wheel boss length.

Just wanting to know how deep/long your s13 steering wheel bosses are.

My car came from japland with one fitted but it seems a bit too long, looking for the shortest one I can get my hands on.

Ideally something as long as the PCD adaptor you sell would be awesome but prob unlikely, I am running the quick release aswel, so it's all up in my face at the moment.:smash:

Any ideas?

Thanks

Not really dished at all, it's a Nardi Torino.

I think the one I have at the moment it around 70mm. Im not exactly a long armed/tall person, by all accounts im a short arse, but ive aways sat quite far back from the wheel and it just feels abit strange, i'll have to see what else is about or just man up!

Cheers dude.

are dw going to look into a shorter one at all? i could do with one as once you add the DW Quick Release Steering Spacer its a bit much

Perhaps not the most constructive suggestion but if you're short do you really need the QR spacer to get in and out of the car? The general idea is if you're tall, have a cage and struggle to get in and out of the car then the QR spacer a) brings the wheel close enough for you and b) allows you to get in and out of the car, if you're not a lanky bastard do you need either of these things?? :)

The bosses are designed to position the wheel in a sensible position for indicators etc, you'll struggle to find a super stubby one since it would only work with a spacer.

Ive got used to my wheel being up in my face but i wouldnt mind a sorter boss myself. I have quick release aswell but need it as my bucket seat is high sided and without it i cant get in/out the car. Im 5'5 with sort legs. :(

I'm 5'11" I use the QR to help getting in and out but also as a security factor

it could be worth you looking into getting some nrg stock as these chaps do really thin QR and hubs should be a small market for these thinner hubs and QR's (will pm you the web site as i dont think its right for me to post there web address in your shop section)

That will be the issue then, if you are short you'll have to have the seat closer. Making it an issue.

I'm 6ft 1" and can get in a car with HKB boss, snap off spacer, flat wheel and a cage no problem :)
