Sterring Wheels

Steering Wheels

I'm looking for a smaller steering wheel, but I'm on a hell of a tight budget (i.e. as close to nowt as possible). Have seen a few around the 40 quid mark that would do the job in a few different sizes. Anyway, I'm just looking for ideas/suggestions on the best size to go for? Not sure if 300mm is maybe a little small, or 340mm a little big (standard seems to be about the 370mm mark).

What sizes do you all use? I know it obviously comes down to personal preference, but a rough guide would be handy :) Oh, and I've tried pretending to drift the wheels in halfrauds, but the hot blondie at the till looked at me funny

mines 350mm and theres no way I'd go smaller! If you want knee clearance a fook off big spacer is a better idea

Cheers :)

Not so much for knee clearance, I'm ok with the standard wheel, the old one just has my arms flailing everywhere, feels like trying to drift a bus :dermal:

i reckon 340mm is a good enough size. 300mm mite feel a bit small.

dont get one with a flatened bottom for knee clearance as the irregular shape will be awkward for fast steering inputs...

try get one with a yellow marker on the top, so u can tell when the wheels are at dead centre....either that or spend an extra 2 quid on yellow electrical tape, lol

320mm wheel 60mm dish sparco rally pro from grand prix racewear £60.

can be had in leather or suede, but remember to get gloves to match! tbh, i think im gonna go 80mm dish and suede. but im a short ass

Ditto, Gimp here, been trying to match a whell I've seen on so many cars on Drifting DVD's can't find it anywhere but think its a Nardi.

My BM's got a 350mm MOMO Tonado and its a great wheel but the Sparco wheels are cheaper and very good. The 325, 375, 368 and model 345 are good looking wheels from Sparco.

The JDM wheel I keep seeing looks alot like the MOMO Model 08. You can always find cheap nearly new wheels on eBay, plenty of MOMO's for next to nothing.

That's a good shout, cheers  Spent ages looking through Demon Tweeks but missed that one.

Mitto - I saw yours in your new pics, looks really good with the dish  Don't think I need it any closer to me though, my arms are an alright length :D

Kieran - you're ok thanks, wouldn't catch me dead in a silver s13 :wack:

Huge plug like, but there is a classic for sale in the for-sale part.... :)
