might be a stupid question, but I've seen two different modifications made to the front wheel wells in the engine bays of drift cars (not the tubular front end). Could somebody please explain the reason behind these mods? Don't they effect the strength of the bodyshell?? The links contain pictures of the mods. The yellow S13 has a cut section in front of the front strut tower and the car with the 2jz has custom wheel wells. Thanks..
