In this thread (amongst others), these replacement sump plugs are mentioned - but I cant find them in the shop :wack:

Am I blind?

Can I have one please :wave:
 
Yeah, not in the shop, and I can't remember why :wack:. I'll have a dig tomorrow to see if we've still got any :)

Any joy finding these Phil? Itching to order some more stuff from :dw: before xmas.
 
we've got a couple here yes, they're tapped for a 1/8 bsp temp sender.
Only problem with these is once you have this AND a temp sender, it does tend to hang down a little low and it's not nice it you clip it on a curb or rumble strip and end up dumping your oil.
If you feel it's not an issue, then feel free to stick an order through the shop. They're the same price as the basic bonnet pins, so just whack an order through for them and put in the comments you want a tapped sump plug instead :thumbs:
 
Noted for future reference, but as I'm taking my engine out now anyway I might as well take the sump off and tap another hole for the temp sender in the side so it doesnt cause any ground clearance issues :)
 
Ive been a spaz and not given myself enough time to drill a hole in the sump so I will order one of these after all :thumbs:
 
Got it, but the internal thread is the wrong thread for the Autogauge temp sender :cry:

Dont worry about it though, I'll sort an adapter out for it :)

Just a note to anyone in the same situation, the Autogauge senders are a different thread - I'll post again when I've found out what they are to help anyone else with the same sender as me buy the right thing :thumbs:
