We are celebrating our first year in drifting and are hosting the SVA Challenge Cup at Lydd International Raceway

This is confirmed for 10am Saturday 18th November with the circuit running a practise session on the Friday 17th November. The Circuit will arrange the Practise day and that will be an additional cost payable to the circuit direct on the day..

PARTY
There is a Funky House event at the Circuits 'Heron bar' starting at 9pm. Please stay and have a chat to everyone, it will be good to meet new faces and see some of those we met during D1GB.

JUDGES
We are grateful to Declan Hicks and Ralph Crampton who have agreed to judge the challenge and the judging criteria will be set by them closer to the day. Ralph and Declan will be joined by Tim Marshall for the day as their assistant.

REDLINE has stepped in following the ending of JTuner to support/feature the SVA Challenge. So you all have the chance to get your sideways herorics onto the hallowed pages of REDLINE

The guys at www.rarerims.co.uk have been superb and have offered a set of jap spec wheels up for grabs. Keep your eyes peeled for more details about how to win these![/size][/b][/color][/center]

Cash Prize money to be awarded to Top 3 and Bottom 2
Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place

Random prizes ;-) given away for various reasons

  • KentIT (www.kentit.co.uk) are also giving us some prizes (MP3 Player, Etc)

NEWS
We are being joined by a TV production company making a documentary to be shown on Men & Motors at a later date, we may also be joined by Clash Productions who are also taking footage of the event.

i'll put my name down for this, i'm certainly not at competition levels, just need some more practise time (2 drift days in 2 years :()

edit - i'll book the AA too (clutch died at first event, gearbox at 2nd :D)

My mate tom and myself will both be up for this, (incase you're after an idea of numbers) :thumbs: Just need to change a clutch in an S14 and weld a diff in an RX7 :D

Is the RX7 Tom's V8 conversion?, if so I doubt it will pass the circuits noise regs, Lydd are flexible to a point, but I suspect the RX7 will just be too loud.

2 Qualifying Laps (the 2nd directly after the first)
Top 8 to Twin Drift

Judging will be completed by 2 top D1 Drivers and judging criteria will be set by them closer to the day.

We will be making it a good day, with all our SVA Feature cars on display. More information will follow.

Cost will be £65 for each entrant, and prizes will be provided.

This is an open competition for people of all levels. Entrants must provide a £20 deposit prior to the 31st October - contact us by email for payment details: sales@svaimports.com
