Swedish S13 project.

Thought I'd post a few piccies of my freshly bought S13.
Bought it in Germany last week since they're ridicoulosly expensive in sweden this one set me back £700 but unfortunately the rear drivers side window is broken and it's £500 for a new one so i'm searching the swedish scrapyards for one as we speak. Other than that i was as good as rust free, even the bootlid was fresh under the spoiler. The plans are to fit the 25 row oilcooler and weld the diff.

Oh yeah, it hasn't got any sunroof for added strength to the body and less rust.
 
I've found a couple of s13s in the scrappies around but it's so damn hard to get the window out in one piece. I'm waiting for a response from one scrapyard that might have one already taken off the car.
 
Found a second hand window for £36 so I'll go get that on friday. After that it's time to get it registered in Sweden. As soon as it has passed it's mot i'll weld the diff.

Okay, new window fitted and som dodgy repairwork done. Found a nice big volvo 940 radiator with electric fan when i cleaned out my garage that might go on the car. Waiting for sandwichplate for the oilcooler, and adapter for the bmc filter. And a saab intercooler will probably drop in this week.

Well that's all for now.
 
Okay, I had some trouble sleeping at night because of the real bad repair job to the sill so i decided to cut away the rust and weld new metal. Only problem is there is one outer and one inner sill. The outer sill wasn't so bad but the inner was brown all round so i had to cut away a big piece of the outer sill to get to the inner........and well here's the pics. Got round to weld up and fill the hools in the back to.

Right now i was thinking what the fuck am i doing.

Shaped some sheet metal into something that at least sort of fits.

Spotwelded it all into place, damn It's easy to burn through the thin japanese steel.

And finally painted it all with zinc paint, that will hopefully prevent it from rotting away at least for a year or so.

Thats all for now, registration in 1,5 weeks and then its time to weld the diff.
 
Ok, some work has been done to the sx. A volvo intercooler, radiator and electric fan has been installed. The diff has benn welded, new airfilter is on. Oilcooler is installed, boost, oil temp, oil pressure & water temp gauges has been installed. Next thing on my to do list is to get a stage 2 chip as the fuelcut comes in as soon as it starts getting fun.
