So as the title says im on the hunt for a new car. Im sure theres thousands of posts like this but id like to hear answers on some of my specific issues.

So a few months ago my buddy picked up a s13 and has slid a few times with me. I used to have a miata about a year ago and riding in the 240 really made me miss those rainy day sessions. So ive began seatchimg for a car that I can drive every day but on those rainy days go have fun with my buddy.

Ive picked a few cars and have a few pros and cons I can see in each. The prices of the cars vary a lot but all still in my price range. First plans for any pf these cars would be new suspension parts and maybe a decent set of wheels as im not really trying to put much performance based mods into them.

1. Obviously a 240sx. Tons of knowledge on forums and locally but I feel like im just really over paying for the ones ive considered worth daily driving.
2. E36. Seems alright a few of my buddies have them but I have no bmw knowledge which concerns me a little haha.
3. 350z seems like stock it would grt the job done especially after adding lsd. Ive heard they feel a little boatish or big if the makes sense. Or not as agile as say the 240.
4. Is300 some of my friends say im a lot better off with this as they are into 1/2jzs. O just feel like theyd feel sluggish stock being the only sedan ive picked.
5. Last but not least the s197 mustang. Definitely has the power and v8 gas mileage isnt a major issue but ive drove a few older ones and they gave me that boaty feel I was talking about but that was with stock suspension..

350z or E36. What about an E46? They're as cheap as the 36s over here. (I'm assuming you're in the states). I've had a 350z and loved it, wish I'd never sold it. Nice big car, easy to drive long distances and the ones with the GT pack comes with a good LSD too. Proper car inside and girls like it too. They can be a bit heavy but as they're reasonably short they actually change direction very well.

If the 240sx is priced anything like the 200sx over here then yes, you'll be paying through the roof. I can't really comment on the other two as I've had no experience of them.

Thanks for the input on the 350z. As for the prices for 240s around here its hard to justify spending sonmuch money on something that might not be nearly as comfortable for the daily drive to work and what not. Also with the z I feel like I can find something that is in much better mechanical shape

I second the e46 suggestion from CBRparr; It is heavier than the e36, but does daily driving and basic skids very well. Good all rounder in my opinion.
