The Soarer gets a new heart

This arrived on my driveway yesterday

1JZ-GTE 400bhp here we come, Universal Turbo's will be breathing some life into the tubbys with some new compressor wheels & Prolex-Uk an ECU & mapping.

Spent the last two evenings taking most of it out - the wiring loom is HUUUUUGE might have me stumped for a few days Came complete with uber rare R154 manual too. If all goes well it "might" be in by Scotland Round 3

Will most probably be needing to uprade the tyres department too, so my selection of 16" wheels will be up for grabs RS Watanbe's, Riverside Splitties & Works Splitties.

Any body need any JZZ30 bits have a few going spare

either way good luck to ya boyeeeeeeee i hate wiring looms, i have proven this by cutting out nearly all of my e28's loom (and saving a cushty some too im sure).

Has a poxy 2.0L IG-GTE Twin tubby as standard, that I managed to squeeze 260 bhp out of.

If you find the shifter is too far back Dec you can use the MK3 supra's R154, that had a shorter tailshaft.

The 1G isn't bad as engines go, but the JZ is the daddio, and you looked like you could have used some extra equine assistance at D1.

Bet that donor car cost ya peanuts too

Cost me £400 for the complete car, but it'd been rolled so not much left only one straight panel L rear quarter if anyone needs one lol.

Seems I manage to find every manual Soarer in the country at the moment

Seriously tho, I'd like the R154 from a soarer as I'd like to manual convert one in the future, so if you find a spare one for not-drugs money I might be up for it. if you have the pedal box and other stuff going spare from the rolled one give me a shout!

Wahey all done!!! No it's not fitted in the Soarer yet

The engine & gearbox are now on terra firma & the rest of the car is now stripped of everything remotely ebay'able.

Cas - got you the complete clutch pedal assembly off & master cylinder

Andy - everything you wanted less the gearbox as I'm avin it is now off & sat there. Email sent.

Been trying to work out how I can keep the aircon together on the 1G as nooo way is that coming off...
