TorSen/Helical, any good?

Hey guys I have a bmw e46 325ci. it's near to stock, only "minor upgrades" such as coilovers, exhaust, tune, and all new bushings and supports, as well as new trasmission and new clutch. Beeing an NA, nothing much about hp actually, probably a bit more than 200hp. My stock open diff died the other day and I was thinking about getting an LSD, but due to prices of diffs here in italy an Helical/Torsen would be the cheapest idea (the cheapest clutch-type here is around 2.5k $).
Keeping in mind that is my daily, would it be a good idea to install a torsen for some occasional drift (maybe a couple of trackdays to go sideways safely) on 225 tires? or would it be only wasted money?
