Toyota Crown Athlete V drift car

Hi all,

Thought i'd stop by and say hello, i've been in to drifting for some years now but never had anything worthy of posting on here, but now i have my recently imported jzs171 with vvti 1J and 5 speed manual swap.

I went to a DWYB event on 04/10/17, if anyone has any pics or video's please do share, the car was getting quite a bit of love from spectators on the day.

Enough of the blurb.. here's the car

Now that is seriously cool, what else is done to it? Any more shots of interior or under bonnet?

Thanks chaps.

@BenRice tbh the car is pretty much stock, has Clazzio leather seat covers (have a Bride Giaz waiting to go in) coilovers and wheels, straight thru shotgun exhaust and a M7 boost controller - anyone know how to work this?! I was told its a similar setup to a Blitz boost controller but i cant make heads or tails of it :wack:

I had the diff welded as it came over with an open diff :euge:

I have a private plate waiting to go on it, just sorting all the paperwork for that now.

Anyone heading to Drift Matsuri this weekend? I'm skidding the Crown on Sunday, can't wait :D

living the dream, thats a beaut! been looking at one of these myself, is it a nice car to drive on the road/daily?

Thanks s14south :)

I was after a JZX Chaser/MarkII before buying this but they were all selling in the auctions for silly money, now i'm glad i went with this as i don't know any other manual Crown in the UK, and not seen another drifted.

I don't drive this car daily, its solely a toy, the exhaust is mega loud (just how i like it) but generally its a pleasure to drive, i need to change the FM bandwidth as the radio frequency only goes up to BBC Radio 2 :wack:

You have your drift car priorities 100% in order

(I'm serious btw lol)

Hahaha :wack: i found out this morning that when i put my stereo in TV mode, Channel 1 gets Capital Radio o_O

Drift Matsuri this weekend :alschaser

Action packed evening for me - new rear tyres, Heyman knuckles and some new extended front wheel studs to fit. Doing my usual thing of leaving it to the last minute to get the car ready

Ah fair enough man, was surprised it was up for sale, I was tempted to offer my chaser up for it lol, glad you've decided to keep it and look forward to seeing what you do with it... Such a cool car
