Track Spec Honda S2000 2001 £7500
Item: Track Spec Honda S2000 2001/Y Porsche GT3 RS Grey £7500
Condition: This is obviously a track car so don’t expect a showroom condition car however the car’s condition is very good.
Location: Northamptonshire, 4 miles from Watford Gap services.
Mileage: 107k
Price: £7500
Description:
I bought the car completely standard in October 2007. I’ve always loved S2000’s and have owned plenty of Hondas such as DC5’s, EP3’s, Preludes, Del Sol etc. The first couple of years saw some basic modifications such as exhaust, suspension and wheels which already had made the driving experience of this car fantastic.
In 2012 I decided that I wanted this car to be my road/track weapon so had it stripped down and prepped for a Custom Cage’s roll cage which was fitted by Dixon Motorsport. I then wisely took the car to Camtec Motorsport to be completed after not being happy with some of Dixon’s work. They then produced some outstanding body and re wiring along with some attention to detail to get it to its current condition. I went with a non-staggered set up with the grippiest tyres I have ever used. The non-staggered set up offers almost no under steer whilst over steer is very easily controlled. I had the car professionally Geo’d and all suspension bolts greased upon build up.
To compare this with an OEM S2000 would be silly as this isn’t a comfortable, subtle sports car anymore. This is however an exciting car set up for cornering on B roads and to last all day at a track without missing a beat. With a few modifications such as a fire extinguisher, rain light and bonnet/boot catches this would be legitimate to compete in race series such as Vtec Challenge etc.
With the sole intention of being functional I think the aesthetics of the car are beautiful. Subtle respray in Porsche RS GT3 grey completely transformed the boring Silverstone OEM colour. A few finishing touches with carbon mirrors, arch extensions and a small spoiler complete the look.
If I was to keep the car, I’d probably go all out aero and supercharge the F20C engine. Having saying this, N/A it is a very reliable car with absolutely no mechanical issues. I decided to fit a heater box in case it rained on track, the windscreen would not mist up. Also for the larger boys interested in an S2000, I am 6ft1 and weigh 104kgs and have no issues at all with space in the car or the BuddyClub XL bucket seats.
It is obviously an aggressive looking car and gets noticed on the road. In the summer with the hardtop off it is truly an amazing experience on the track and or road.
This truly has to be driven to be appreciated.

• Currently SORN but I will put 6 months on for the new owner
• Private plate is not included. Original plate is Y623 BRP.
• Always meticulously serviced every 10k miles with oil changed every 4k miles.
Couple of negatives:
Very small chip on the windscreen.
Couple of small scratches as with every other used car.
Mechanically absolutely faultless.

I’ve owned this car for over 5 years and have cherished every moment with it. It has completely been transformed and I’d love to see this taken to the next stage with more power or raced in a competitive series.
The car will have a few paint issues sorted prior to sale and will also include a detail. I know this is ironic for a track car however I like things to be immaculate and really do appreciate all of my cars.
Unless you can provide proof of full insurance on the car, I’ll be taking the test drive.
I’m in absolutely no rush to sell the car.
