Ok so not the most usual drifter so i have put it in the Misc section

For sale MG Midget – 1979 - £350
Car is in Barnsley – South Yorkshire
Hi there. Im selling this on behalf of my dad so information is a bit sketchy. If you want any more info please give him a call on [Adrian] - 07894954233
MG Midget in Red. I believe it’s a 1979.
A little history, my dad bought it and did the required welding to the chassis so the car so it would get through its Mot. He then ran it for the summer and then took it off the road and covered it with a tarpaulin. Which is where its stayed.
Its been off the road for just over a year. We haven’t tried to start it but it did run a year ago. I’m sure there are some little jobs to do to get it through the MOT but we don’t see any real reason why it shouldn’t pass (or fail badly)
The Car is running twin Su’s with K&N filters, it also has a maniflow single back box, which sounded nice. Both Leaf springs want looking at but apparently it should go through the MOT with them (so says my old man)
There as quite a bit of history with the car and plenty of receipts for work from an mg specialist.
It does need a new roof as there are a number of rips in it. But its summer so just leave it off !!
Obviously the car will need a tune up, mot and tax so will have to be trailored away. The car is a little tatty has some surface rust but it would make a nice little project. Or cheap convertible for the summer J
Selling because a baby is due in 3 weeks !! and he just doesn’t have the time or space for it anymore.
£350 takes it. Could arrange delivery at cost to the local area.
Extra information:
Unleaded head fitted
Its been rewired in the past (receipt to prove I think)
All welding done last year
New clutch reservoir and pipes fitted
K&N air filters
All tyres are good
Needs new hood
Rear springs low
Body does need some work and repainting
Mg add on fan for rad
Extra parts that i want to sell seperately but could go with the car if discussed.
half tonneu cover and hood cover for when the soft top is folded down
a new clutch slave cylinder
New rear break cylinders

old man has got a baby coming in three weeks he's got this and a rusty beetle with a badger bug kit (trying to get him to part with that too)
