vespa 50 cutdown / project

A little gutted to do this but I wont be using this due to plans to relocate

Thought I'd hit the usual forums who appreciate some old metal before ebay and scootertrader/small frames etc.

So

The bike is a vespa (douglas) 50 special (smallframe) 1975 so proper old skool. It was orange prior to being sprayed its current colour and you can tell it's a rattlecan job. Its registered as a 50 *wink* and as orange but its now not that.

I was using this to commute to work and didn't fancy the twist and go and also having no bike licence meant choices were limited but this was ideal. I'm no vespa purist and love the utilitarian look or my ratty vespa. It's a manual 4 speed and has had some additions and has had metal removed for the cut down look.

I'll dig up specs but email or pm me for more details

The bad bits are that it needs some general maintenance work. service, oil change, carb tuned up a bit (runs rich). Hasn't started first time for a bit (probably due to the above and the fact I don't use it as often as I used to) It does kick over and when I was using regularly was ok to start up 3rd 4th kick when used every day.
Some rust starting to appear on the edges of footplate but it is not rotten
Some weeping of oil.
electrics on lights can be temperamental. think theres a lose connection in the wires in the headset
Very loud exhaust.
metal has been cut away around leg shield and above engine
Needs MOT and Tax (£15)

£480ono.

I think some creative thinking and it would look uber with matt black paintwork and lime green rims or nato green and matt black details....or even grey with camo seat and chrome?
